Awning fitment
What awning fits a Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer & Citroën Relay?

The Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Relay are the same Sevel-platform van, so they take the same awning: the roof-mounted Fiamma F80S. The bracket depends on your roof finish (standard, low-profile, or panoramic Skyroof). With a roof rack the wall-mounted F45S is fitted, though on this platform the rack adapter drills the body — no-drill customers stay on the roof-mounted F80S.

Have you got a roof rack fitted?
An aftermarket roof rack or roof bars, the kind you'd carry gear or a board on. It changes which awning mounts to your van.
Fiat Ducato / Peugeot Boxer / Citroën Relay awning sizes by wheelbase
| Wheelbase | No roof rack (roof-mounted F80S) | With a roof rack (wall-mounted F45S) |
|---|---|---|
| MWB | Fiamma F80S 320cm →on the van-specific roof bracket | Fiamma F45S 325cm → |
| LWB | Fiamma F80S 370cm →on the van-specific roof bracket | Fiamma F45S 375cm → |
| XLWB | Fiamma F80S 400cm →on the van-specific roof bracket | Fiamma F45S 400cm → |
Sizes are the fit for each wheelbase. The awning length is set by the van's side run, so the roof-mounted and wall-mounted awnings take the same size for the same van. Aero roof bars need a bracket matched to your bars.
One platform, three badges
The Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay are the same van underneath. They share the Sevel platform, so the roof, the mounting points and the awning fitment are identical across all three badges. Whatever fits a Boxer fits the equivalent Ducato and Relay, and everything on this page covers all three.
What changes the answer is not the badge. It is two things about your specific van: whether a roof rack is fitted, and your roof height and wheelbase.
The one question that decides everything: is there a roof rack?
Before size or bracket, one question decides which awning you need.
- No rack: you want the roof-mounted F80S. It fits the factory mounting points already in your roof, so there is no drilling into the body. This is the most common fit and the one most people want.
- Rack fitted: the F80S mounting points are occupied, so you move to the wall-mounted F45S. On this platform the rack route uses an adapter that bolts through the body, so a rack fit does involve drilling. If you would rather not drill, keep the factory roof and fit the F80S.
No drilling on the standard fit
The reason the F80S is the preferred fit on these vans: Fiat, Peugeot and Citroen build fixing points into the roof at the factory, and the Fiamma bracket kit bolts straight to them with sealing gaskets. No new holes in your van.
One honest note: on an older or already-converted van, the fitter should check those factory points are sound before loading an awning onto them. On a standard factory roof that is a formality, and it is Fiamma's own instruction either way.
Which bracket kit does a Ducato, Boxer or Relay need?
For most vans the answer is simple: the standard H2 medium roof kit (there is a Deep Black version too, to match a black awning). It covers the L2 and L3 wheelbases, fits both left and right-hand drive, and mounts without drilling.
- H2 medium roof, L4 long body: its own longer-body kit, with a separate version for low-profile roofs.
- H2 low-profile roof, L2 or L3: a low-profile-specific kit, also available in Deep Black.
- Panoramic Skyroof: a different kit again. Do not use the standard kit on a Skyroof van, it will not clear the glass.
- H3 high roof, L3 or L4: its own kit, and this one screws into the roof with sealed rivnut fixings, so drilling is required.
- Roof rack fitted: the wall-mounted F45S with a rack adapter instead.
Do I have to drill my van?
For most Ducato, Boxer and Relay fits, no. The standard F80S fit on a factory H2 roof uses the existing fixing points, no drilling. Drilling only comes in on two routes: the H3 high roof kit, and the roof-rack route with the F45S. So the honest rule is: factory H2 roof, no drill. H3 or roof rack, drill, or stay on the factory roof and keep the F80S.
Right-hand drive
The Ducato, Boxer and Relay F80S kits are dual-fit, designed for both left and right-hand-drive vans, so UK vehicles are covered with the standard kit. This matters because some vans need a specific RHD kit. This platform does not for the F80S.
About the Fiamma F80S

Sizes 290 to 450cm in Polar White, Titanium or Deep Black. Royal Grey or Royal Blue canopy (Deep Black is Royal Grey only). Common questions
Do I need a bracket kit for a Fiamma F80S?
Yes, always. The F80S does not fit any van without a van-specific bracket kit, bought separately. The Fit Finder has confirmed the exact part for your van above.
Can I fit a Fiamma F80S myself?
Yes, if you are a confident self-builder, but it is a two-person job to lift the awning onto the roof, and any roof drilling must be sealed properly. If you are not sure about the roof fixing, use an installer.
What is the difference between the F80S and the F45?
The F80S is roof-mounted; the F45 range is wall-mounted. Roof mounting suits vans with no clean side-wall fixing line and places the awning above door height.
Is the F80S manual or electric?
It comes with a hand crank for manual wind-out. Fiamma sells an optional electric motor kit that can be added later, and the awning is ready for optional LED lighting on the lead bar and rear casing.
Fiat Ducato / Peugeot Boxer / Citroën Relay awning FAQs
What size awning for a Ducato / Boxer / Relay?
On the medium roof: 320cm for the L2, 370cm for the L3 and 400cm for the L4. The high roof takes 370cm on the L3 and 400cm on the L4. On a roof rack the wall-mounted F45S is 325cm, 375cm or 400cm.
Which bracket does a Ducato awning need?
It depends on the roof. Standard, low-profile and the panoramic Skyroof each take a different kit, and the high roof takes another one again. The Fit Finder asks two quick questions and picks the right one, which matters here more than on most vans.
Can I fit an awning to a Ducato with a roof rack?
Yes, with the wall-mounted F45S. Be aware the rack adapter on this platform bolts through the body, so it does drill. If you would rather not, staying on the factory roof with the roof-mounted F80S is the no-drill route.
Does a Ducato awning need drilling?
On a factory medium roof, no: the roof-mounted F80S uses the fixing points already in the van. Drilling only comes in on two routes, the high-roof kit and the roof-rack adapter. So the honest rule is factory medium roof means no drilling, high roof or roof rack means drilling.
I have a panoramic Skyroof, does that change things?
Yes, and it is important. A Skyroof van takes its own kit, and the standard kit will not clear the glass. The Fit Finder asks about the rooflight for exactly this reason, so answer that one carefully.
Do Boxer and Relay owners use this page?
Yes. The Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay are one van with three badges, so the sizes and kits are identical across all three.
Does my van being right-hand drive matter?
Not on this platform for the roof-mounted F80S. Those kits are dual-fit, designed for left and right-hand-drive vans alike, so a UK van is covered by the standard kit. Some other vans do need a specific right-hand-drive kit; this one does not.
