What size battery + solar do I need?

How accurate is this?

The numbers are indicative, not absolute. They're based on manufacturer data sheets where we have them (the VANZ-sold fridges), industry-standard estimates for other loads, and conservative seasonal solar factors for UK conditions. Real-world use varies — a fridge in 30°C heat draws more than the same fridge in 15°C, for example.

We deliberately over-size rather than under-size. Better for the customer to have spare headroom than to run out on night 2 of a trip. If you want a tighter spec for an unusual case (a full-time year-round build, an air-conditioning load, an electric induction hob), get in touch and we'll work through it with you.
